Assemble offered an open invitation to any of our staff who wanted to attend the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2023. Several of our team attended the conference and saw the sights and sounds of San Francisco.

GDC is a unique opportunity for us to connect with industry experts, immerse ourselves in cutting-edge technologies and gain valuable insights into the ever-evolving landscape of game development. Beyond the conference, as we all work remotely it was also great for our team to see each other in person and explore San Francisco, a city renowned for its creativity and technological advancements.

Assemble were proud to be sponsors of the British Racing Greats charity event celebrating the greatest racing games ever made and raising money for SpecialEffect and Solving Kids Cancer. The day itself was a great success and some of our staff were very happy to be able to attend.

One of our Technical Directors Paul has been creating small productions for the demoscene for a couple of years and was honoured to win a 2023 Meteoriks award for “Best Executable Graphics” for his production “Orders of Magnitude” - a small (4Kb) executable program (with no additional data) that runs for 30 seconds and then produces a still image.
